Today The Huffington Post reviled that after talks with NBCs Entertainment chairman Bob Greenblatt they think The Office could be coming back.
After the success of the return of Will & Grace it’s got people talking about other shows returning to our TV screens. “The West Wing,” “The Office,” “ER” and “30 Rock” are just a few of the shows mentioned by Bob Greenblatt.
Of the titles on Greenblatt’s wish list, “The Office” seems most likely to reemerge. He said NBC’s executives “often” discuss the show with creator Greg Daniels, weighing the option of introducing a new cast. “I’ve talked to Greg four times over the past few years,” Greenblatt said. “It’s always, ‘Maybe someday but not now.’”
We’ve heard this all before and us Office fans hate when people lie to us! Some of these NBC shows are easier to resurrect than others. “ER” can pick up with more medical chaos at County General Hospital, and “The Office” can return to Dunder Mifflin, where Dwight Schrute had become the regional manager. HOW AMAZING WOULD THAT BE. But “30 Rock” and “The West Wing” are trickier.
I think Greenblatt is a true Office fan and just wants to see his favourite show back on the TV. We can only hope one day it happens. We’ve been tricked before about The Office coming back. Missed that drama? Give it a read here
